FAQS

WHY DID YOU SET UP THE ROOTED PROJECT?

It’s extremely positive people are becoming so interested in nutrition, however there exists a disconnect between academics and the public. There’s been a noticable rise in wellness events and we’ve seen a gap in the market to make evidenced-based nutrition accessible. We want to provide a service where people interested in improving their diet can get realistic evidenced-based info, from reliable sources, first-hand.

WHO DO YOU CLASS AS AN EXPERT?

This definition is subjective. Our speakers are at a minimum degree level trained in nutrition, but they may span from being a Professor to a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist or Food Scientist.

HOW DO YOUR EVENTS WORK?

Currently we plan for our events to run as themed talks on a weekday evening. On purchasing a ticket, you will be invited to a London venue to hear leading professionals in the industry speak about the food we eat.

DO I NEED ANY SCIENCE KNOWLEDGE TO COME TO YOUR EVENTS?

Absolutely not! Our talks are aimed at the general public. We choose speakers who alongside being leaders in their field, are able to use normal language and translate the science into interesting and practical content.

I'M A NUTRITION PROFESSIONAL, CAN I STILL COME TO YOUR EVENTS?

Of course you can. Please note however that our talks are aimed for those with no science grounding as we want to make evidenced-based nutrition accessible to all. We feel it's important to be clear about the service we're providing however would love to offer events for professionals in the near future.
