BAD SCIENCE & THE TRUTH ABOUT HEALTHY EATING by THE ANGRY CHEF

We're so excited to announce that we'll be reading The Angry Chef's (aka Anthony Warner) Bad Science and The Truth About Healthy Eating for our third #TRPBOOKCLUB

We've posted the bookclub questions for discussion below. Join us tonight on Twitter via the hashtag #TRPBOOKCLUB where we will be working through all the questions.

If you've never joined in a Twitter chat before, check out this thread, that explains how they work.

QUESTIONS

1)  The book refers to the dangers of pseudoscience and misinformation. What's the harm in this? Discuss.

2) Did you feel the writing-style used in the book (as seen on the blog) was an effective way to communicate science-based messages to the public?

3) Which concepts does the book use to highlight why intelligent people still get sucked into believing myths and pseudoscience?

4)  In one tweet, summarise your favourite myth the Angry Chef debunked.

5) "There is no fairy dust of naturalness that makes home-cooked meals healthier than anything made in a factory" Discuss. (Chapter 19, Convenience Foods, p275).

6) What can credible experts do to communicate better with the public?
